At a recent event, First Night recognized J. Mark
Schuster for his commitments to building community and celebrating diversity
through the arts. His work embodies the principles that First
Night seeks to promote through its annual celebration and year-round education
programs that foster creativity, imagination, and participation.
We pay tribute to Mark for nurturing our unique organization and
strengthening its foundation, so that the First Night tradition remains
prominent on the landscape of Boston for many years to come.
